Volcanic Wines from Hungary: From Splendid Balaton to Marvelous Tokaj

What connects the Tokaj Wine Region—famous for its legendary Tokaji Aszú—with Somló, one of Hungary’s smallest wine districts near Lake Balaton, known for its characterful dry wines? The answer lies in the volcanic soil, a defining terroir element that shapes the grapes and the wines they produce. Wojciech Bońkowski, Master of Wine, will guide you through the exciting and captivating wines of these two remarkable regions.
