The tradition of growing grapes in the Sopron wine region goes back to a thousand years. This fact coupled with family traditions played a decisive role in Kurt Taschner’s decision to study winemaking after doing a degree in economics. Having finished his studies he took over the management of the estate. Today with the assistance of his father and the winery staff they cultivate close to 30 hectares of vineyards. The single vineyard wines made from grapes grown in the most excellent areas convey the special characteristics of their respective terroirs while the range of fruit-forward and cheerful wines is highly popular with supermarket customers.
